I'm beyond honored :)

After only a TOUCH over a month of blogging, I have already been given my first blog award. My dear friend Tracy at Seed Thoughts has presented me with the Arte Y Pico Award. It is given to those who inspire others with their creative energy and talents in writing, artwork, design or contributions to the blogging community.

As a recipient of these awards, I have been asked to share the award with five blogs that bless me. Limiting it to five is CERTAINLY difficult, but here goes!

I am presenting this award to:
Yvonne at "My Back Door"
Kristen at "Exemplify"
Patty at "Patterings"
Dee at "My Heart's DEE-Light"
Laury at "In My Daddy's Arms"

our “official instructions” follow:

To the recipients of the award...
1. Pick five blogs you consider deserving of this award, whether for creativity, design, interesting material, or contributions to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2. Name each nominee and link to his/her blog.
3. Show the award and include the name (and link to his/her blog) of whoever presented you with this award.
4. Be sure to link to the Arte y Pico blog, so everyone knows the origin of this award.
5. Post these rules.

OK ladies - YOUR turn to bless some folks! Thank you for blessing ME through your blogs!

  1. Joanne!

Thank you SO MUCH! My goodness, I am humbled beyond words.

  2. Congratulations, Joanne!!! And those are certainly incredible blogs you awarded!

  3. Joanne,

I just thought I'd stop by and check more out of the blog that belongs to my fellow Art Y Pico award recipient. I'm really glad I stopped by. I'm enjoying reading your posts. It's hard to believe you're a new blogger. You've done well. I haven't read everything yet, but I'll be back for sure.

I'm so blessed by Tracy at Seed Thoughts for choosing us for the award. It looks like you guys certainly deserve it. She really blew me away by choosing me because I'm just a blog hobbyist and it's just a writing outlet for me. For the longest, I didn't even think people read my blog. I was shocked when people started to comment, slowly but surely. I did though, feel that if I were to write, whether for me or someone else, that it did not need to dishonor God and it needed to be things that He would be pleased with. I even thought that if by chance someone did stop by, that I'd like to pray about things I write about so that God gets the glory but someone else might benefit or simply enjoy something I left there.

I don't pray about 100% of the posts 100% of the time, but I try, especially for the ones with labels like Wednesday Wisdom or One to Grow On. These I approach with prayer so that God can use them or use me to leave a message He wants left for someone to pick up.

Anyway, I didn't intend on writing so much here. It's nice to officially meet you. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for stopping by. I would love to hear your thoughts - please share them!

My One Word: 2016 and 2017

Most who know me know I am a very goal-oriented person (in fact, I already shared my goal wrap-up for 2016 and my new ones for 2017 on this...
