Spokesman: Monday Manna for December 6, 2010

First of all - if you haven't seen it, I had one of my old devotionals over at the FaithWriters' Blog yesterday. If you wanna see how God turns mountains into roads, check it out!

The purpose of Monday Manna is to get together and get to know Christ more through His Word.

On the first and third Mondays of each month, anyone who wants to participate can post their thoughts on a specific verse--posted here at my blog on the Thursday before, to allow you to chew on it over the weekend. It doesn't have to be long -- just a few thoughts, a picture you feel helps express it, a poem, a short story, a devotional. Just post it on your blog on Mondayish (early OR late is fine, by the way!), then come back here and link up in the Linky Tools gadget that will be at the bottom of MY post at o'dark thirty that morning.

I'll be honest. My brain was FRIED today. I had NO idea what verse to pick, so I asked my dear dear friend (who must have the unfried half of my brain today LOL) Patty "Peejers" Wysong for a verse for this week, and this was one of the two she gave me. WOW.
Therefore this is what the LORD says:
   “If you repent, I will restore you
   that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless, words,
   you will be my spokesman.
Let this people turn to you,
   but you must not turn to them. Jeremiah 15:19

Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about this verse. I'll be pondering too. See you Monday!

Paving Rough Roads With God's Presence

  1. That should be a good one Joanne.

  2. =] That verse is one I've been mulling over since Heidi (of Moms, Ministry and More and Adding Zest) wrote about it. It reads differently in the NASB so now I'll be really digging into it. =]

    Love you, sweetie.

  3. That is an excellent verse. I love this thread of sharing verses.

  4. Wow is right! How have I missed this verse! I want to be a woman who speaks only worthy words which is actually something I have been thinking about all day today! Thank you for sharing this with us!
