Gotta Feel it to Show it

As fiction (and sometimes even nonfiction!) writers, it is our job to bring our characters to life. One very important way to do that is through "showing" rather than "telling." Now, I've written on this subject before, but it was a while ago, and I'd like to think I've grown as a writer (and shower) since then.

Anyhow, my dear friend Karin Beery (a fellow Midwesterner and writer at The Barn Door) invited me to do a guest post on her blog and I, well, agreed :). I'm over at There Has To Be A Beginning today, sharing my thoughts on this very subject. Can You Relate?

I'm so glad your editor caught your telling and helped you make it more showing.I know that must have made it so much better. I am guilty of telling quite often and when it is pointed out to me, I get it:)
