He ...Everyone always misses the point about Reuben. He lived bith his mother & father very much. Reuben knew the consequences of his act with his father's concubine but, he also knew the continued heart break of his mother was eminent if he did not act. The very imperfect Jacob in morning for his 'favored' wife had attached himself to her servant. Here Rachel was gone and now Leah could finally be noticed, loved, cared for but, no. This would not be unless...you can hear the wheels turning in Reuben's mind...unless. So he took the chance & never blamed his father for his reaction. We know he never blamed him because, when his father's dearest favored son was I'm danger by the hands of their own brothers...his brothers...Reuben sought only to save Joseph's life. Maybe for the love of a brother but, surely more for the love of a father. Truely you are correct. The bible is filled with the stories of people. What a beautiful thing that is indeed. ^_^ <3Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8999930258339428520.post-64746393822761441612013-02-06T14:08:00.149-05:002013-02-06T14:08:00.149-05:00Exactly, Zoe. This reminds me of the young male prisoners we ministered to. They would say, "I know God put me here to get my attention. If he hadn't, I'd be dead or still on the streets." They were living in their consequences, but in Christ, they moved on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8999930258339428520.post-68787804036255674732013-01-30T22:07:10.940-05:002013-01-30T22:07:10.940-05:00Thanks, Rita - you're such an encourager!
