The Pursuit of Wealth and Security

There are lot of ways to earn wealth. And many paths to security - and sometimes we pursue them too much.

But there are different kinds of wealth and security. And different ways of pursuing them.

I'm over at Jewels of Encouragement today, talking about one way - and it's the best one. Because, my friends, it's God's way. Won't you come see?

My Spiritual Birthday

Fifteen years ago today, as I sat on my living room couch reading from the book of Isaiah, I accepted Christ's free gift of salvation.

So, when my dear writer friend Mary Hamilton mentioned she was looking for folks to share their salvation testimonies on her blog in February, I couldn't say no.

And she even let me post on my rebirthday! Hope you'll stop by her blog and check it out (as well as the other wonderful posts there!)

Cracks

Nobody likes to look broken. We try to put our best foot forward - to hide our flaws behind a veneer.

But that is exactly what we should NOT be doing. Because the more our cracks show, the more He shows.

I'm over at Internet Cafe Devotions today, talking about His light through our flaws. Won't you stop by and see whether you're a cracked pot - or a crackpot?

Tired of Falling

We fall down - a lot - in the Christian walk. But, thank the Lord, He is always there to pick us up.

But sometimes, even though I love when He lifts me, I get tired of falling. I wonder if it will EVER stop. And then I remember I already know that answer.

Stop by the devotional blog Jewels of Encouragement, if you would. I'm over there today, talking about that seemingly endless process - that is NOT endless. We won't fall forever. :)

The Honeymoon is Over

A couple important and significant things happened in my life about 20 years ago. And I am so very glad they did. One of them, however, is starting to grate on my nerves (maybe more than starting!).

The Barn Door

I'm chatting about it today at the Midwest blog The Barn Door. Hope you'll stop over and see what I have to say about the end of this Extended Honeymoon.

My One Word: 2016 and 2017

Most who know me know I am a very goal-oriented person (in fact, I already shared my goal wrap-up for 2016 and my new ones for 2017 on this...
